Invictus silver delight for Telford serviceman Paul Twitchell
Serviceman Paul Twitchell from Telford has picked up a silver medal in the Invictus Games in Australia.
He is part of a sitting volleyball team that just missed out in the final to Georgia.
Paul, 44, from Telford, is an armourer in the RAF who was diagnosed with depression and PTSD.
He is among scores of British servicemen and women who have travelled to Sydney for the games.
As well as taking part in the volleyball, he will also compete in swimming.
A delighted Paul said: “This has been a life-changing experience.”
He added: “I am so immensely proud of my UK sitting volleyball team, an outstanding success against Poland followed by winning silver against the world class Georgian team.
"I began this journey in the darkest of places – today we are winners.”
