M54 and A442 hit by delays after crashes

Emergency services are dealing with several crashes involving multiple vehicles on the M54 and one of Telford's busiest roads.

West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) was called to a crash involving five vehicles on the A442, known as the Eastern Primary, near Canongate, just before 4pm today.

Emergency services were alerted to another crash involving six cars between the Wombridge Interchange and Greyhound Interchange at about the same time.

WMAS said there have also been two further crashes nearby involving multiple vehicles.

Emergency services have also been called to two separate collisions on the westbound carriageway of the M54 between junctions three and four.

WMAS said it received the calls about the motorway crashes at 3.20pm.

Details of any injuries are not yet known.

Drivers are being warned to take extra care.
