Improvements will include changes to the main reception area allowing for a better flow of customers during busy periods.

There will also be improvements to the boot hire area.

As well as the work to the front area of the building, all the spectator seating will be replaced on April 15.

The Ice Rink will stay open throughout all the building works.

Customers are asked to call ahead or book online at telfordandwrekinleisure.co.uk/telfordicerink to avoid any additional queueing times.

Councillor John Minor, cabinet member for leisure, green spaces and parks, said: “These improvements will be key for our customers at Telford Ice Rink. We’ve really tried to listen to individual feedback and these changes to the building and spectator area reflect what our customers would like to see.”

“The team would appreciate patience during this busy period, but would also like to remind customers we are very much still open for skating.”
