Man suffers cardiac arrest in Ketley

Ambulance crews were called to the scene of a cardiac arrest in Ketley this afternoon.

Two West Midland Ambulance Service crews were on the scene after the incident occurred.

Passers by saw a man leaning against a wall before collapsing.

People came to his aid and emergency services were called.

Dave Robinson, 37, of Ketley Vallens, said: "We were driving down Waterloo road from the crossroads and I saw an elderly gent leaning against the wall then he collapsed.

"By the time I turned round the car another man had stopped and come to his aid. He was administering CPR and then the ambulance was called and the crew arrived within minutes.

"It happened very quickly, I didn't recognise him."
