Storm Hannah cancels event in Telford Town Park
An event in Telford Town Park was cancelled because of Storm Hannah.
The organisers of Spring into St Georges were forced to cancel the event this morning - just hours before it was due to start.
A statement said: "This is the first time we have ever had to cancel an event, and the events team haven't taken this decision lightly. If you have regularly attended our events you will know that we will always continue in any conditions.
"Sadly the windy weather has got the better of us and we must put public safety first and foremost on all of our activities.
"We would like to thank all of our acts, suppliers and traders for making the very great effort to get here for the event. Everyone is very disappointed not to have been able to put on this very lovely event."
The fair was supposed to feature a whole host of attractions including a bike show, circus tent, street theatre, go karting, talent stage, pony rides and more.
The Meet the Authors event at Southwater One Library was still able to go ahead.
