Emergency services descend on Telford street as man hurt resisting arrest
A man suffered injuries resisting arrest in Telford today as police were attempting to take him into custody on suspicion of assault.
Police and ambulances including the air ambulance attended the incident.
Officers attended a house in Lawley at about 2pm and a 26-year-old man from Glendale was arrested on suspicion of assault.
Alex Gale for West Mercia Police said: "He received medical attention for injuries received while resisting arrest and was taken to hospital by ambulance while remaining in police custody.
"The air ambulance was requested but wasn’t required."
A witness reported seeing the air ambulance leave without a patient on board.
