Crews tackle fan unit fire at Telford pallet factory

Firefighters tackled an extractor unit blaze at a Telford pallet factory.

Emergency crews including Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service were called to Link 51, in Halesfield, at about 8.45pm on Tuesday.

Two engines from Telford were in attendance along with an operations officer.

Firefighters wore breathing gear to tackle the incident. They used water and a fan to tackle the flames and smoke.

The brigade stated: "This incident involved an extraction unit on fire."

A West Midlands Ambulance Service paramedic assessed one man and discharged him at the scene.
