Bin lorry on fire sparks 999 calls
A fire in a refuse lorry had to be put out by firefighters.
The alarm was raised just after 1.30pm on Monday on the Tweedale Industrial Estate, Telford.
Two fire crews from Telford Central Station responded to 999 calls. They were able to extinguish the fire using a jet, rakes, shovels and mathooks and use a thermal imaging camera to check it was out.
They then escorted the lorry back to the depot to check for hot spots in an hour-long operation.
