Police said shops in Telford would be displaying the notice

The South Safer Neighbourhood Team said officers were going to supermarkets and shops asking for their support over the period.

They said that some of the shops will be displaying the police posters advising that they will refuse to sell eggs or flour to anyone under 18 not accompanied by an adult.

The initiative is part of efforts to crack down on anti-social behaviour.
