Emergency services rush to Shropshire village after car hits tree
Emergency services were called after a car crashed into a tree in a Shropshire village.
It happened in Sutton Maddock at about 8pm on Sunday.
A spokesman for Shropshire Fire and Rescue said: "At 20:12 on Sunday, SFRS fire control received a call reporting a fire classified as road traffic collision to make safe.
"One fire appliance was mobilised from Telford Central.
"One saloon vehicle collided with tree, crews made vehicle electrically safe using small gear."
West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 8.05pm on Sunday to a road traffic collision involving a car that had collided with a tree in Sutton Maddock in Shifnal.
"One ambulance attended the scene.
"Upon arrival crews found a man who was the driver of the car. He was assessed and had sustained non-life threatening injuries.
"He received self care advice from ambulance staff before being discharged at the scene.”
