Missing a peacock? Mystery as bird has Telford residents all of a flutter
Residents in Telford have appealed to find the owner of a peacock which has been spotted roaming around their estate.
The beautiful bird has been seen on rooftops, in a tree and in residents back gardens in the area of Brookside, Telford.
Residents say they have tried contacting the RSPCA, RSPB and Cuan Wildlife Rescue, but have apparently been told that as it is a domestic bird and uninjured, they are unable to help.
Jane Peevor-Evans spotted the bird at around 6.30pm on Tuesday evening after it landed on her summer roof.
She said: "I was sitting in my garden at about 6.30pm and I heard the neighbours say 'Oh there's a peacock' and then it landed on my summer house.
