Smoking bus engine sparks fire alert in Telford
An engine failure on a bus caused a cloud of smoke and a fire alert in Telford on Saturday afternoon.
Two fire appliances rushed from Telford and Wellington with an operations officer to a report of a bus on fire in Mossey Green Way, Ketley Bank, at 1.15pm.
When they crew got there a spokesperson for Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service found that the "reports of a bus on fire proved to be caused by engine failure causing smoke."
The crews did not need to use any of their equipment and declared the incident over just eight minutes later at 1.23pm.
