Well-behaved children and knowledgeable teachers earn Telford school 'outstanding' Ofsted report
Pupils, parents and carers are "rightly proud" to be part of a school community according to inspectors, who have rated the "deeply caring" school 'outstanding'.
William Reynolds Primary School in Woodside, Telford earned a glowing Ofsted report after a two-day inspection last month.
Inspectors said the behaviour of children was "exceptional", teachers have "strong subject knowledge and well-chosen resources to help pupils learn well," and youngsters receive "wider experiences", including through trips and school clubs.
Parents "speak highly of this deeply caring school", the report said. The school was also praised for its "rainbow values" instilling respect in youngsters, and "wellbeing champions" playing an important role in helping children look after themselves and others.
The school, which is in one of the county's most deprived areas, retained its "outstanding" rating after its first Ofsted visit since 2017.
Headteacher Julie Marriott said: "I am so proud of our whole school community including pupils, parents/carers, staff and governors - this is an amazing achievement! To retain an ‘outstanding’ judgement on the new inspection framework is incredibly difficult, which is testament to the dedication our teachers spend developing the curriculum to ensure that our children receive the very best education possible.
"We were able to showcase our curriculum over the two days and the pupils articulated their learning so well. Ofsted reported that ‘the school’s success can be measured in so much more that its excellent academic outcomes'."
