The Premier Store in Dawley, formerly known as Mac & Jacs, held a vote from customers - who all paid a £1 - to see which of the the unlucky shop workers was to get 'beaned'.
It was part of a fundraising initiative for breast cancer charity, after the condition has affected a number of their customers, friends and family, so the shop decided to come up with a novel way of raising cash for Breast Cancer Awareness Day in October.
Dozens of people stopped by to see shop worker Ian Jones get dunked in beans.
Now, the shop has handed over a cheque for £2,210 to charity on the back of the event.
Manager Tina Patel said: "I would like to thank Ian - our pillar of our local community shop and Chloe Bryan who came up with the idea of a bean challenge.
"We are all so very proud of how much we have raised."
