Jane Bithell has been running Jane Eyre Hairdressers in Albrighton since 1986 and first cut Shelbie Allport's hair when she was just six.

Shelbie, 31, went on to become an apprentice hairdresser for Jane when she left school 15 years ago, and now she has bought the shop from her former boss - who in turn will now work part-time for her former apprentice.

Shelbie said: "I've known Jane since I was six years old when I used to come into the salon and have my hair cut.

"When I left school 15 years ago I became her apprentice and worked in the shop for five years before I moved on."
