A fire crew was called to a care home to help remove a ring stuck on a resident's finger.

The crew was called to a care home to help a resident with a ring stuck on their finger.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service sent a crew from Albrighton to the Cedars Care Home on Kingswood Road, in the village at around 3pm.

The crew used what was described as 'small gear' cutting equipment to remove the ring from the middle finger of the left hand of a resident.

They had finished at the scene at around 3.40pm.
