Brave Telford youngster Zac Oliver who battled with a rare type of childhood leukaemia has been given the all-clear in his latest tests.
Five-year-old Zac and his family, who live in Broseley, flew out to Philadelphia last week for the his six month check-up tests after being confirmed cancer free earlier this year.
It has been half a year since he originally got the all clear following treatment for his Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, the end of a long campaign that saw £500,000 raised by people from Shropshire and beyond.
About 50 per cent of children relapse by this point, but his mother Hannah Oliver-Willetts took to Facebook to confirm the good news.
"Zac's results have all come back clear," she wrote.
"He has no b-cells or cancer in his bone marrow or spinal fluid. Yaaay... and breath..."
People across Shropshire held events, collected sponsorship, donated pocket money, and took part in a Wear Red for Zac day to push towards the total needed to get Zac treatment.
The fund also received a donation from X Factor creator Simon Cowell before a mystery donor pledged £100,000 to reach the target.
