Residents evacuated after severe house fire breaks out at Donnington home
Residents in a Telford road have been evacuated after a severe house fire broke out on Thursday evening.
West Mercia Police reported shortly before 8pm that officers had put a cordon in place while firefighters tackle the blaze at the home in James Way in the Donnington area.
The force said: "There is currently a 30m police cordon in place, while the fire service deal with the fire on James Way.
"People are being advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
"No injuries have been reported and several houses in the area have been evacuated."
Firefighters had extinguished the blaze by 9pm, but severe damage could be seen from the road, including a blackened first-floor window and porch.
