Casualty suffers leg injuries in lorry and motorbike crash near Newport
A casualty had to be treated for minor leg injuries after a crash between a motorcycle and a lorry near Newport.
Police and ambulance service were sent to the junction of New Trench Road and Wellington Road in Lilleshall at around 9am this morning after reports of a crash between a red Volvo lorry and a black motorcycle.
One person was treated for minor leg injuries at the scene and then was discharged.
Paul Roberts of West Mercia Police said: "We were called to reports of a collision between a red Volvo lorry and a black motorcycle shortly after 9am this morning, near the junction of New Trent Road and Wellington Road.
"Officers attended along with the ambulance service with reports of one person suffering what are believed to be minor leg injuries."
Jamie Arrowsmith of West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 8.57am to reports of one patient with a leg injury. They were discharged at the scene. One ambulance attended."
