Woman dead after crash near Newport
A woman died following a crash near Newport today.
Emergency services were called to the single vehicle crash at just after 1.15pm.
Police closed the road after the vehicle left the B5062, in the Tibberton area, and ended up in a field.
West Mercia Police said the vehicle had rolled onto its roof.
A female passenger was declared dead at the scene and the driver, a man, was taken to hospital.
The extent of his injuries are unknown.
Four fire crews including the rescue tender were sent from Hodnet, Newport and Wellington.
An air ambulance and paramedics also attended.
