Inquest is held on Newport university student

The inquest of a 20-year-old man who died after being hit by a car in Newport was being held today.

George Angus Crawford was a student at Harper Adams University and had travelled for his studies from Hawick in Scotland.

He was hit by a car at the junction of Forton Road and Sunny Gardens at 4.10am on October 7.

The inquest into George's death was opened by Shropshire coroner John Ellery on October 17.
