Vehicle overturns in crash near Newport
A road near Newport was blocked to motorists after a vehicle veered from the carriageway and overturned in a field, damaging an electricity pylon.
The accident happened on a country lane at Tibberton off the B5062, shortly before 5.40pm on Saturday.
Newport Safer Neighbourhood Team took to Twitter to warn drivers to avoid the area.
The tweet stated: "Reports of a road traffic collision and an electricity pylon being damaged. Road is blocked."
Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service said its rescue tender and two engines from Newport and Wellington, an operations officer were in attendance.
The crews used specialist gear to help to get one person from the vehicle.
