Uninsured car leads to arrest of 18-year-old for possession of drugs and weapon
An 18 year-old Newport man has been arrested for possession of Class A drugs and an offensive weapon.
The teenager was arrested on Saturday after police discovered an uninsured car in Telford.
Newport police were assisted by Shropshire's Operational Patrol Unit, who located the vehicle in Donnington.
The driver was subsequently arrested for possession of Class A drugs and having an offensive weapon.
A later search of his home found more drugs and a large amount of cash, police said.
The car was also seized for having no insurance.
