One person treated for smoke inhalation after fire in Newport hotel room
A person has been treated for smoke inhalation after a fire at a hotel in Newport.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting a fire in one of the hotel rooms at The Swan Inn, in Newport at just before 2pm on Monday.
Two fire engines were sent from Newport and Wellington and a spokesperson for the fire service confirmed that the fire is under control.
One male is being treated for smoke inhalation, and ambulance and police personnel are also on scene.
