Man rescued by firefighters from roof of Royal British Legion club
A man was rescued by firefighters from the roof of a Royal British Legion club.
Crews were called out to the club in Audley Avenue, Newport yesterday afternoon and had to use an extension ladder to help the man down.
A Shropshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said: "At 3.50pm on Tuesday, March 28, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident in Newport. One male assisted from roof using short extension ladder."
One fire engine was mobilised from Newport fire station.
