Pets as Therapy visit the Royal Navy Club, Newport, where veteran Kenny Innes was introduced to Sasha the dog by the charity co-ordinator Ann Marie Jones.

The charity, Pets as Therapy, went along to the Saturday-morning meeting of the Newport-based club, with two of their therapy dogs Suzie, the Pekingese, and Sasha, the golden retriever.

The charity's work is centred on helping improve people's wellbeing and mental health through the bond between animals and humans.

The group carries out visits to a number of venues, such as residential homes, day care centres, schools, universities, hospitals, hospices, and even prisons.

Veterans Kenny Innes and Dennis Cornmell were introduced to dogs Sasha and Suzie by the charity's co-ordinators Ann Marie Jones, and Jan Jones.
