A teenage girl has become a Shropshire gliding club's youngest-ever solo pilot.

Darcey Gallacher, aged 14, from Newport became RAF Shawbury Gliding Club's youngest-ever solo pilot on Sunday.

The incredible achievement was made all the more magnificent as the teen was towed to her release height by her dad, Ian, who is the club's chief flying instructor.
