How a nightmare at bedtime led to two brothers creating their own children's book
Two brothers from Newport are celebrating the publication of their first children's book.
Daniel and Jonathan Barrass, a pair of creative brothers from Newport, have recently come together to write and illustrate a children's picture book.
The Ship Swap tells the tale of a pirate and an alien who like the look of each other's crafts and decide to swap ships.
Daniel, 33, who admitted to having never enjoyed school, was inspired to put pen to paper after a particularly successful bedtime routine.
"I read my kids books at night time," Daniel, a father of three, explained, "but sometimes it's a bit of a nightmare. They argue over which books, so sometimes I just prefer to make them up.
