Chris Whitty visits Shropshire for discussions on rural health challenges
Shropshire Council has hosted a visit by Professor Sir Chris Whitty, the country's chief medical officer, who became a household name during the Covid pandemic.


Shifnal is a market town in the eastern end of Shropshire. Packed with independent shops, pubs and restaurants residents say it is a perfect place to live. It has excellent transport links via its railway station and its closeness to the M54. In 2014 it was named as one of the top 10 market towns to live.
