Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after Shifnal crash

A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital after a crash in Shifnal.

A man in his 40s suffered injuries to his back, ribs and chest pain after the crash with a car in Coalport Road on Wednesday June 7.

He was airlifted to Royal Stoke University Hospital.

Jamie Arrowsmith, spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We got the call at 8.28am to Coalport Road.

"It was a collision between a car and a motorbike.

"A man in his 40s has been air lifted to Royal Stoke Hospital with injuries to his ribs and back and some back pain.

"He was air lifted by Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford. There was also an ambulance in attendance."

Two police officers and PCSO were at the scene to ensure other road users were safe.
