M54 near Telford shut after car crashes into barrier
Part of the M54 westbound was shut so that spillage from a car aquaplaning into a barrier could be cleaned up.
The car crashed between Junction 3 and Junction 4, near Tong, at about 3pm on Wednesday. The driver was not trapped.
Police initially closed one lane before extending the closure to the other lanes so the spillage could be cleaned up.
It caused congestion for about two-and-a-half miles.
Police and the Highways Agency attended. By 5pm the scene had been cleared and all lanes were re-opened.
Earlier in the day a period of heavy rain led to patches of standing water on roads.
