Fireworks spectacular for charity
Fireworks Display at Wellington Cricket Club
Wellington Cricket Club will once again be hosting their fireworks extravaganza on November 4 in conjunction with landowner, Mr Peter Holt.
One of the region's biggest fireworks displays is set to raise hundreds of pounds for charity at the weekend.
Wellington Cricket Club says this year's bonfire night will be bigger than ever with the event area extended to allow more space and a greater range of activities for families.
The firework display on Saturday evening will raise money for the Wellington Mayor's charity fund, selected other charities and to develop cricket facilities and provide sports opportunities at the Orleton Park ground.
"Come along to a fantastic family event and help others at the same time," one of the young players, Ben Thompson said.
Gates will open to the group at 5,30pm and the fireworks show will start at around 7.30pm.
Fairground rides will keep the younger members of the family amused, there will be a range of street food traders and adults can enjoy a drink from one of the public bars or try a glass of mulled wine.
Admission is £6 for adults and £2 for under 14s, whilst children under 5 are free.
Parking is available on site for disabled visitors but everyone else is asked to take the short walk out of Wellington to the site as no other on-site parking will be available.
Cricket club officials are urging visitors not to block local residents’ driveway access if parking on the streets around the area.
