Natwest hit by computer glitch
Thousands of customers of NatWest bank were unable to make payments today due to a glitch with its computer system.
Callers to NatWest's telephone banking system were told they would be unable to make payments to other banks, although online banking was unaffected.
NatWest said it was working to repair the fault.
Last year NatWest closed its branches in Wellington and Wem, and has announced the closure of its Newport branch next month and its Bridgnorth branch in June.
