Fears over teenagers on roof tops
Police have warned of the danger of climbing up onto roofs after teenagers were spotted on the roof a school in Telford.
About half a dozen youths were spotted on the roof of Dothill School, Wellington, at the weekend.
Officers say that the offenders were aged between 11 and 16 years old.
"They were seen to run from the school grounds on the arrival of police," a spokeman for West Mercia police said.
"Roofs can be fragile and as such only authorised persons should gain access."
He said seven youths had been identified and were in the process of being spoken to.
Last year Shrewsbury police warned of the dangers after there was a spate of youths 'free running' from rooftop to rooftop in the town centre.
