Elderly lady helped from house fire
An elderly woman was led to safety by firefighters after a fire at her home.
The small fire in the kitchen of the house in Crescent Road, Wellington, broke out about about 1.30pm on Friday.
The alarm was raised and three fire crews from Wellington went to the scene.
Firefighters quickly put out the kitchen fire and helped the householder from the property.
She was then looked after by an ambulance crew.
