Young girl taken to hospital after being hit by car in Telford
A young girl was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Telford.
It happened at about 7.20pm on Tuesday, in Regent Street, Wellington.
Claire Brown, of West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "One ambulance attended. They assessed one girl who had suffered relatively minor injuries. She was then taken to Princess Royal Hospital for further checks."
West Mercia Police said they were called by the driver involved in the collision.
Eleanor Harris, of the police, said: "We were called last night by a driver who had knocked a young girl over in Regent Street in Wellington. The girl suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision."
