Soulstress plea for missing boy
Wolverhampton soul star Beverley Knight has made a plea for people to help find her friend's missing son.
The West End star made the appeal on Twitter on Wednesday night after learning the news that her friend's son had gone missing.
The much-loved singer and actress, who has just launched her latest album Leading Ladies with fellow stars Amber Riley and Cassidy Janson, said: "All my Wolves tweeters.
"My friend Hanifa’s son Rashad is missing. Not seen since 6pm yesterday. Please call police if you see him."
Beverley shared a photo of Rashad in her tweet.
Rashad is pictured wearing a duffle-coat with faux fur on the hood. He has an afro and a goatee beard beneath his chin.
By yesterday (THURS) morning, the tweet had more than 300 re-tweets, 69 likes and 20 comments of people confirming they had shared the post.
Beverley said: "His mother is beside herself" and individually thanked everyone who shared the tweet.
People shared the post, including Rashad's picture, across the West and East Midlands as well as in London and further afield.
Anyone with information on Rashad's whereabouts is asked to contact the police on 101.
