Couple, 88, taken to hospital after Wolverhampton crash

An 88-year-old couple were taken to hospital after a crash in Wolverhampton.

The husband and wife were in a car that crashed with another one, which was vacant, in Silverton Way.

The man suffered cuts and bruises, said West Midlands Police. Both he and his wife were taken to hospital afterwards.

Photos taken from the scene showed a silver car sustained damage to its front end.

Wednesfield Police tweeted: "This afternoon, we attended an RTC on Silverton Way, where an 88 yr old gentleman had lost control of his car and hit another unattended car.

"The gent suffered minor injuries, (cuts and bruises) and he and his wife (also 88 yrs old) were taken by ambulance to hospital."
