Key events in motor sport history will form the theme of the 2011 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The innovations will be celebrated under the title Racing Revolutions - quantum leaps that shaped motor sport.
The Sussex event, from July 1 to 3, will mark such anniversaries as the 60 years since Ferraris vanquished Alfa Romeos at Formula 1; the 30 years since the dawn of rallying's 4x4 age and 25 years since turbocharged engines ruled the roost in F1.
It is also 75 years since the European racing championship was won with a ground-breaking, rear-engined car and 20 years since a rotary-engined Mazda won the 24-hour Le Mans race.
The festival will also celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Indianapolis 500.
