UK’s first Bugatti Chiron delivered in London
Ultra-exclusive £2.5 million luxury car can reach 261mph
The first UK delivery of the £2.5 million Bugatti Chiron has taken place in London.
One of the world’s most exclusive supercars will be on display at the HR Owen dealership in Berkeley Square until the middle of next week.
The Chiron’s appearance in London coincides with the first anniversary of the opening of the company’s Mayfair showroom. This particular model is clad in the car’s launch colours, with two different shades of blue for the front and rear sections.
The Chiron is a technical masterpiece. It has an 8.0-litre W16 engine configuration with four turbochargers that contribute to an output of 1,480bhp and 1,600Nm of torque. Power goes to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, with the 0-60mph sprint taking a fraction over two seconds.
In its standard mode, it has a top speed of 236mph, but in special circumstances a second key can be inserted to unlock 261mph in Top Speed Mode. Naturally, economy figures are stratospheric – while the Chiron achieves a respectable 22.5mpg on the combined cycle, CO2 emissions register at 516g/km.
This isn’t the first exclusive supercar to have graced the streets of the capital recently. Last month, HR Owen also took delivery of one of just eight Lamborghini Centenario supercars. Based on the Aventador, the limited-run version has a full carbon-fibre exterior.
