Skoda improves Kodiaq SUV’s off-road credentials with new Scout model
Rugged new Kodiaq SUV priced from £32,330, and includes four-wheel-drive and seven seats as standard
Skoda has introduced a more rugged, off-road friendly version of its Kodiaq SUV – the Scout.
Prices for the new model variant start at £32,330, which buys you a range of special features designed to set the Scout apart from other Kodiaqs.
These include unique off-road front and rear bumpers, a rear diffuser and 19-inch alloy wheels. There are also Scout plaques on the front wings, and the wing mirrors have been painted silver.
In the cabin, Skoda has fitted Alcantara-trimmed seats and door panels, while the dashboard and door inserts feature a wood finish. A Scout plaque on the dash, aluminium-trimmed pedals and LED ambient lighting complete the look. For added practicality, the large SUV also features seven seats as standard.
Power comes from a range of petrol and diesel engines, all of which are combined with four-wheel-drive as standard.
The petrol engine line-up consists of a 1.4-litre, 148bhp unit and a larger 2.0-litre, 178bhp power plant, while a 2.0-litre diesel engine is also available with either 148bhp or 187bhp.
The 1.4-litre petrol and lower-powered 2.0-litre diesel feature a six-speed manual transmission as standard, while the 2.0-litre petrol and 187bhp diesel make use of a seven-speed DSG automatic.
All Kodiaq Scout models benefit from an off-road mode that adapts the engine, chassis and brake settings for driving on rough terrain. Hill Descent Assist is also included. A “rough road package” that includes an engine guard and underbody guard is also included.
The Skoda Kodiaq Scout is available to order now.
