Mini reveals limited-edition 1499 GT
Available for under £300 per month with free first year insurance

Mini has revealed a new limited edition — the 1499 GT.
Inspired by the classic Mini 1275 GT, made in 1969, the special-edition hatchback features distinctive design elements.
These include two paint options — pepper white or midnight black. Each car receives bespoke 1499 GT decals, finished in gold with the black paint or black when paired with the white option.

Also — as standard on the 1499 GT is the John Cooper Works Sport styling pack. This adds 17-inch alloy wheels, more aggressive bumpers and dark tinted windows.
Inside the car are more John Cooper Works styling elements, such as the seats and leather steering wheel.
As for performance, the hatchback features a twin-turbocharged, 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine developing 101bhp and meaning a 0-60mph time of 10.1 seconds.
Completing the Mini 1499 GT is sports suspension.

The car also retains all of the standard equipment from the Mini One, including independent rear suspension, a six-speed manual gearbox with rev-matching technology, air conditioning and disc brakes all-round.
Mini has also introduced a new finance package alongside the 1499 GT — offering a year’s free insurance with a £299 customer deposit and £299 monthly payments over a 48-month period.
Just 1,499 examples of the Mini 1499 GT will be built between November 2017 and February 2018. Prices start from £16,990.
