Skoda has revealed a new dynamic Sportline specification for the Karoq compact SUV.

Due to be revealed at the upcoming Paris Motor Show in October, the Karoq Sportline benefits from a good range of standard equipment as well as a series of efficient, yet powerful engines.

A 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 188bhp tops the Karoq’s powertrains offering, backed by a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel with either 188bhp or 148bhp, and a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol with 148bhp. Four-wheel-drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic is available with all engines choices, with the lower-powered diesel and 1.5-litre petrol engine options initially offered with a six-speed manual gearbox.

The exterior of the Karoq Sportline has been given a range of dynamic touches to reflect the car’s sporty nature. Revised bumpers have been fitted, along with 19-inch black alloy wheels. The Sportline logo has been applied to the front mudguards too, while tinted windows and black roof rails highlight the car against the rest of the Karoq range.

The interior is lifted thanks to black sport seats with contrast stitching, along with a multifunction steering wheel finished in perforated black leather. A variety of stainless steel accents are dotted throughout the cabin too, while an ambient lighting package helps to give the car’s interior a lift at night.

The Karoq Sportline is available with Skoda’s Virtual Cockpit as an optional extra. This allows the driver to specify which information is relayed back to them via a screen located in place of the car’s traditional dials.

No prices for the Karoq Sportline have been released yet, with more details likely to be released following the car’s full release in October.
