Interior revealed for upcoming Skoda Kodiaq vRS
Performance-oriented Czech SUV gets part-Alcantara sports seats, bespoke steering wheel and further sporting enhancements
With the Skoda Kodiaq vRS set to make a public debut next month following a long string of teaser images, the Czech firm has decided to offer one last preview — this time of the interior.
The performance-oriented SUV will get a set of ‘sports’ seats with integrated headrests, wrapped partially in Alcantara with leather side bolstering.
Leather is also used for the armrests located both centrally and on the doors, while red contrast stitching is used throughout the cabin to enhance the sporty feel.
A bespoke steering wheel also features — marked with the revised vRS logo, which now features a red ‘v’.
Topping off the sporty aesthetic is a carbon-effect instrument panel, black roof liner and stainless-steel pedal covers.
Last week, Skoda revealed some of the racier additions to the Kodiaq vRS — including two exhaust pipes, a vRS-trademark red rear reflector stretching the width of the car and 20-inch alloy wheels which house 17-inch brake discs.
Underneath the bonnet is a 2.0-litre twin-turbocharged diesel engine producing 236bhp, which is sent to all four wheels.
What that translates to in performance terms has yet to be confirmed, but a prototype of the performance SUV achieved a lap time of 9:29.84 at the Nurburgring — becoming the fastest seven-seater around the ‘Green Hell’.
The Skoda Kodiaq vRS is set to make a full debut at the Paris Motor Show, taking place from 4 to 14 October.
