Renault claims that the K-ZE will deliver 155 miles of all-electric range under outgoing NEDC cycles. This is likely to drop to a real-world range of around 119 miles.

A range of equipment has been included with the K-ZE, including rear parking sensors, a rear parking sensor and a central infotainment screen displaying satellite navigation and other media functions.

Carlos Ghosn, chairman and CEO of Groupe Renault, said: “Groupe Renault was a pioneer and is the European leader in electric vehicles. We are introducing Renault K-ZE, an affordable, urban, SUV-inspired electric model combining the best of Groupe Renault: our leadership in EV, our expertise in affordable vehicles and in forging strong partnerships”

Renault also confirmed today that it plans to electrify more of its range by 2020, electrifying its Clio while offering plug-in versions of its Megane and Captur vehicles too.

Ghosn added: “With the advent of connected, autonomous vehicles, customers will expect more of their traveling time. Experimenting with Groupe Challenges, we imagine what tomorrow’s connected, personalized mobility experience could be.

“Access to premium content delivered through unique on-board experiences for drivers and passengers will become key differentiators”.
