Lexus brings wine-dispensing saloon to aftermarket car show
Custom ES 350 F Sport is kitted out with a fridge and oak boot lining, plus racks for wine bottle and glasses
Crossing a love of wine and cars is something that should usually be avoided, but a new Lexus concept shows an elegant way to combine the two.
Showcased at SEMA, an aftermarket-focused car show taking place in Las Vegas, USA, this custom ES 350 F Sport comes complete with a wine bar in the boot. Rather than regular carpet lining, the machine features oak flooring — with a wine fridge taking centre stage in the floor. There are also racks for glasses and bottles to be stored.
SEMA is a show known for its wild custom machinery though, and it takes more than just a boot modification to fit in with the crowd. Completing the package is the addition of an Artisan Spirits bodykit and 20-inch RAYS Engineering alloy wheels, which are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres.
Compared with the rest of Lexus’ offerings at the show though, this ES 350 could be seen as rather tame.
The first of those is an RC 350 F Sport, which takes a much more eye-catching approach. It’s fitted with a blue neon underglow light, and a brown satin wrap — giving it a real standout look.
Next up is a UX crossover which has been given a real ‘boy-racer’ makeover with a lower ride height thanks to an Apexi damper kit, along with a catback exhaust and an NIA Auto Design lip kit up front.
Finally, a custom LS 500 saloon boasts a dark grey wrap, Artisan Spirits bodykit and 22-inch WORK alloy wheels, which house a Brembo brake kit.
It’s unlikely any of these Lexus creations will see production, but what they do show is the tuning potential of the Japanese firm’s machinery.
SEMA opened today, and closes on November 2.
