Ssangyong has bolstered its Tivoli and XLV models with a range of new enhancements.

The most prominent of these additions is the introduction of efficient new Euro 6 C petrol and diesel engines.

Now available with either a 1.6-litre petrol or 1.6-litre diesel engine, the Tivoli comes with a host of standard equipment, including air conditioning, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity and remote keyless entry. Prices for the SE petrol model start from just £14,495.

Nick Laird, managing director of SsangYong Motor UK, said: “We listened to our customers who told us to keep the Tivoli range simple, extremely well-equipped yet still highly affordable.  With South Korean quality backed-up by our industry-leading 7-year 150,000- mile warranty, SsangYong really does offer no-nonsense cars that give UK car buyers amazing value for money.”

The more practical Tivoli XLV is also available with the new engines, as well as the option of either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. Prices for the XLV start from just £19,745 for a car in ‘Ultimate’ specification.

All cars now benefit from a newly-styled rear bumper with chrome inserts, as well as a seven-inch infotainment screen which now includes DAB and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity options.

Bolstering its appeal further is the standard-fit of AEBS (Autonomous Emergency Braking System), as well as a variable hill descent control for better control off-road.
