Big cast at the Little Theatre

The show goes on in Donnington. This is the cast of an unknown production at the Little Theatre. Mr Wilfred Kindness, of Donnington, who loaned us the photo, says it was in the early 1950s. Standing left of centre with a dark top and wearing a cowboy-style hat is the late Harold Newell, and wearing the dark hat standing right of centre is his younger brother Malcolm Newell - Mr Kindness' brother-in-law, who lives now in Cyprus. They lived at West Avenue, Donnington. Mr Kindness thinks that second from left might be Gwen Guy of Donnington. Although he does not know what group this is, it is probably Donnington Garrison Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society. Incidentally there is a little damage to the picture lower right, but happily it does not cover the faces.
