Pictures From The Past - January 12Welcome to this week's collection of nostalgia photos from the pages of the Shropshire Star.By Toby NealPublished Jan 12, 2018 CommentsThese youngsters were queueing up at the Gay Meadow at Shrewsbury in 1952 for autographs. This picture is courtesy of the Geoff Charles Collection held at the National Library of Wales, and gives the date of August 1 that year, and is part of a series which also includes action photos of the match in front of a packed Gay Meadow. Geoff Charles was a prolific photographer in the borders region over several decades.
