A Shropshire MP has claimed he does not yet know which seat he will stand for at the next General Election should proposed changes to the boundaries of constituencies in the county come into force.

Philip Dunne, MP for Ludlow, said he would make a final decision over whether to stand for the proposed Ludlow and Leominster seat or the Bridgnorth, Wellington and The Wrekin constituency over the next 12 months.

He described the changes to Shropshire's political map proposed by the Boundary Commission as 'radical', but said he was relieved plans put forward by the Liberal Democrats had been dropped.

He said: "I will make my own personal decision about which seat to contest when I know what the definitive boundaries will be."
